Hello! It's been 10 weeks since I had inverted V osteotomy and a square jaw reduction surgery. The reason why I decided to have surgery was my square jaw and long face. On the day of surgery, I was so nervous that I couldn't sleep a bit. When I lay down on the operation bed, I was so nervous that my body was tumbling. I am thankful for the nurses to help me to calm down. And then I closed my eyes for a second and then I woke up, and I heard a nurse’s voice saying that the surgery is done. The tube inserted into my throat made my throat sore as if I had a sore throat, but as soon as it is removed, the pain disappeared. To be honest, it's not like the pain of shaving bones. It's just felt like I got beaten up by a UFC fighter. It was bearable. And in three days, the pain was almost gone. It's just a little annoying to do gargle as a post-op care. After about two weeks, I could go out with a mask on. But I didn't move a lot, so I think my swelling subsided a little bit late. ㅜㅜ Until a month and a half, it felt a little awkward, but I walked a lot and took a bath in the hot spring often, so I felt a little less swollen afterward. I think it's better to move a lot! Now, my friends say that if you don't talk about my surgery, no one will notice it! And since the surgery, I've been worried about the numbness in my right lower lip. And on the 1st day of 1 month after surgery, I felt a little prickly, and then I got my senses back from that day. I'm satisfied with the ease around my mouth and my face looks less long. And the side jaw looks good naturally. Thank you.
