Chin – Short/Receding Chin Correction

Short/Receding Chin Correction

A short or receding chin is one which is retreated or too short.
Such chins disturb the entire facial balance, and make the mouth look protruded and the face dull and vacant.
This can be corrected with implant surgery, advancement genioplasty and autologous fat graft.

Implant Surgery

This is a simple procedure under sedative anesthesia, in which the surgeon modifies the implant to be fitted to the chin and fixes it in the correct position with a titanium screw while directly observing the process.
Since the implant is fixed, it doesn’t move following the chin muscle, contributing to the excellent results of the surgery.
Since it takes only 30 minutes and causes no bruising, it can be performed over a weekend.

Long/Protruding Chin Correction

Of the facial types that have a lower face look, a longer or protruded chin is the one with a genuinely long or protruded chin.
Many cases are accompanied by a protruded mouth or prognathism, which can look more severe when smiling, making gummy smiles look awkward.

Reduction Genioplasty
This method horizontally cuts the chin bone through an incision inside the mouth, moves it to the correct position and then strongly fixes it with a titanium plate. It is even more effective if simultaneously performed with a V-line genioplasty.

Double Chin Removal

If the lower jaw bone is well-developed and makes the chin heavy, it can be corrected with V-Line Square Jaw Surgery. However, if a double chin is formed with a large amount of fat on the chin, even going on a diet hardly removes the highly accumulated fat on the area. Surgical Method
