I had had huge cheekbones and square jaw since I was young I had been under a lot of stress because of that. I was in my 50’s so It was hard for me to decide to have surgery or not. I had a few consultations but always gave up on having the surgery. However, after meeting with the doctor at Braun, I was encouraged and started having a belief that the surgery will be successful so I went with Braun for the surgery. Right after getting an anesthesia injection, I fell asleep and when I woke up, the surgery was over. In virtue of painkiller injection, I did not feel the severe pain. After one day hospitalization, I was discharged with a face pack bag and a couple of syringes. I was told to drink water and eat porridge with the syringe, but I was recovering faster than expected so I started using a disposable cup to drink water and soy milk from the next of the surgery. The next day of the discharge, I went to the clinic to get treatment and to wear compression bandage. After coming back home, I walk around by myself at night. Bruises disappeared about less than a week, the big visible swelling subsided by the 2nd week after the surgery. After removing the stitches inside my mouth and getting a high frequency treatment, the swelling went down rapidly. The doctor told me to go on a diet. Eventually, I could not eat well so I lost weight naturally. On the 3rd week, the big swelling was almost gone; I could see how much my face got smaller clearly. My jaw line is slender and sharp, which makes my lips thicker. Since my face space is reduced, my face features seem bigger surely. Especially, I hear that my eyes seem bigger these days. Originally my eyes are big, but they were covered by protruded cheekbones, and the eyes were not noticeable, but when the cheekbones disappeared, the eyes seem bigger and the length of the face decreased. My son likes it because my face got smaller After a month, my face line has become smoother and the bobbed hair looks good on me. Your face is so small that you even look young. Now I have a baby face. When I tie my hair tightly together, my face is smooth and small. In the beginning, I was worried about droopy skin and sunken cheeks because the swelling went down irregularly, but after a while, it stated going down smoothly. As the doctor said, the swelling is subsiding gradually without any signs of skin sagging or sunken cheeks. I'm taking a walk and two or three pumpkin juice every day, and the doctor says the progress is better than I expected. I'm so satisfied. I was worried about my recovery because I was not young, but now I can open my mouth a lot more than before and feel the swelling is subsiding so I feel relieved. I did not use any of the syringes I received to eat water and porridge when I was discharged, but I eat them in a disposable paper cup and I am recovering quickly. I am looking forward to seeing how much smaller the face will be in the future as the swelling is going down. I wish I had surgery when I was a little younger. I had a lot of worries and worries before I decided to do the surgery, but thanks to the doctor, who did a great job. |
