I will write as detailedly as I can for the people who are considering facial contouring surgery because I read lots of reviews before deciding it and actually those reviews were really helped.
Photo1 - Before surgery
I was very interested in facial contouring surgery since young and wanted to get it done someday. My face was quite big compared to my body, the line from my cheekbones to chin was too bumpy and wasn't girlish or sophisticated. Especially, my chin was protruding like the pelican.
Photo2,3 - The day of Surgery
I fast from 10 am due to my surgery was at 7 pm. I was so tired, felt dizzy and really needed caffeine. However my surgery delayed an hour as it scheduled on the first day of the long holiday. Honestly, I was a bit worried and nervous because mine was the last one and Dr.Kim was so busy with surgeries.
I lied on the surgery bed, the anesthesiologist came and told me to breathe in deeply. And after that, when I woke up, the surgery was done. I felt dizzy and the only thing that I remember is the nurse was calling my name and woke me up. I took a wheelchair and went to the recovery room then fell asleep. When I woke up, I had dressing around my face and had 2 blood drains were on each side of my mouth. Thankfully I awoke safely and as many people say, the pain wasn't that bad but I felt very dizzy and nauseous.
A day after the surgery
I slept a lot even I came back to the hotel. I think I slept almost for 12 hours per day till 3rd day. (It is bad for the swelling though) I drank juice because I didn't feel like eating but I think it made me feel more nauseous. So I recommend eating porridge even if you don't want to.
2 days after the surgery
I visited Braun to remove the dressing around my face, to get an antibiotic shot, shampoo and cleansing treatment. And on the night, I did the headband and gargled with the mouthwash that was given from Braun after eating.
3 days after the surgery
On this day, the swelling got worst. I was worried about what if I have double chin... Dr.Kim told me already that I will look chubby but still, I was a bit worried. And I slept a lot.
5 days after the surgery
I went to Braun to remove the stitches that are close to my sideburns. And also got the swelling treatment.
From that day, I started walking lightly.
6 days after the surgery
I met Dr.Kim for checking up. I thought my swelling is bad but he told me it is pretty normal. So I started to eat and talk more. I think swelling subsided faster because I talked a lot.
Photo 4 - 8 days after the surgery
Photo 5 - 10 days after the surgery
Back to work. People were asking me what I have done to my face as I still had some swelling. So I said I did fat graft :P lol
My chin got shorter and the line of the cheekbones is getting slightly appeared. There is some swelling left on my chin just like a squirrel having acorn though. I did ice pack in the morning as I had more swell in the morning and used a warm pack at night.
14 days after the surgery
I went to Braun for removing the stitches that are inside of my mouth. After removing them, swell went down faster.
Photo 6 - 25 days after the surgery
It is almost been a month since the surgery. If I see my photos, it is very noticeable that my cheekbones and side chin got smaller. Especially my front chin. And the tips of my lips seem pulled up as well as the proportion of my body looks better!
I still have some swell on my bottom lips and chin and heard that it will take about 2 months for the sensitivity to come back to normal. But as time passes I am not worrying anymore.
I think I might come back for rhinoplasty soon. lol
Hope this long review helps you.
Thank you so much for all Braun medical staffs and Dr.Kim!
