I never imagined that I am writing this post. But I wanted to share my facial bone contouring surgery experience which is the huge decision I ever made in my life.
Before surgery, I told the doctor about what I heard from people around me that there will be sagging skin after getting facial contouring surgery done. The doctor said it will never be happening.
I spent for a few months thinking about getting the surgery and finally set scheduled for the consultation in 3 clinics. And the first consultation was Braun. The doctor pointed out all my concerns correctly and explained the details of the surgery. And also he was very confident. So I already decided in my mind, to get surgery at Braun. I was going to do it right here but since this is my first time to have consultations for plastic surgery, I wanted to check other clinics too. However, since I already made my decision once, I went to other clinics though, I went all the way back to Brown again to set the schedule for surgery.
On the surgery day, it was really nauseous. Honestly, on the first day, I thought why am I suffering this way. It wasn't because of the pain of the surgery but was because of nauseousness. But soon, the nauseousness was gone after I got IV drip for it. And the next day the blood drain was removed and I was discharged from the hospital. The nurse said my swelling wasn't that bad. But even at home, I could hear buzzing and could not drink water properly. I've been fighting with myself for three whole days and I have to reflect on myself and look back on me. lol
On the third day, my body was finally awakened. And I knew that I have to take a walk but wasn't that easy. But all I did was just woke up in the morning, but swelling subsided a bit. lol My friends were all saying that I didn't swell that much just like what the nurse said. But in my eyes, my face looked ugly and swollen a lot. But amazingly from 4th to 6th day, the swelling started to subside quickly. During this time, it was so hard to stand for feeling hungry. I didn't like pumpkin porridge at all but I had to eat. And right after a week later, I started eating rice. I couldn't chew properly but I didn't mind it. lol I knew how thankful that I can chew.
So now it's been 2 weeks since surgery. Still unable to chew properly and some swelling left but got much better. I still need one to two months to get settled but I am getting better and better as time passes. The stitches on both sides of my face and inside of my mouth were removed and I got swelling treatments.
