Hello, I got 3D malar reduction + sunken cheek reduction along with revision rhinoplasty on May 18th, and it’s been exactly 30 days after the operation.
I used to be so stressed out about my big cheeks and dissatisfying nose after the primary rhinoplasty that I made a huge decision with Braun. After the consultation, I straightaway made a reservation for surgery. I think the confidence that I saw from the doctor, made me made such a decision.
Regarding my cheeks, despite the swelling on the temple area and inside mouth, it has changed so much that people even asked me if I got the chin surgery as well. Actually, I saw some online who saying the sagginess of cheeks is inevitable after malar reduction. However, the doctor did exactly what he said during the consultation, which is no sagginess. In fact, even my jaw line became slimmer after the surgery!
Since the facial line became much softer, I am told that my image got much more pleasant and less hostile.
During the consultation, the doctor suggested I should get sunken cheek correction to maximize the outcome. I trusted the doctor so I immediately said “yes, let’s go ahead”. Now, I am more than satisfied with the result. I visited many other clinics but none of them said a thing about my sunken cheeks, and even when I asked them about it, they would go “we can’t do much about it, yet let’s inject some filler later on”. I believe the doctor is definitely the best when it comes to malar reduction. Highly recommended!
My nose was big and humpy but it wasn’t corrected during the primary surgery.
The surgery made my nose masculine, which stressed me out so much.
However, after the revision rhinoplasty, I am absolutely satisfied and surprised that my nose got this slimmer and smaller!
In fact, after the surgery, I was told my nose was such a mess due to the first primary surgery.
I appreciate the doctor who did a perfect job even with the mess
While lying down after surgery, I didn’t have any headache or nausea at all, and just felt like my body got heavier.. As I expected, I had more swelling on 2nd and 3rd day rather than 1st day so I had pumpkin juice and took a walk on a regular basis. Then, swelling went away properly 4 days after the surgery.
Over the first week, I only had congee, pumpkin soup, plain yogurt, etc and I talked a lot in fact.
I guess that’s why from the second week, I was able to open my mouth quite well so I could start having some meat in slice. Now, although I can’t open my mouth real wide, I can eat any food I would like.
Until the day the cotton inside my nose got removed, I couldn’t sleep or breath well, which was exhausting.
Though, after the cotton removal, everything became perfect. The entire medical team is amazing and I am happy with the postoperative care as well.
The follow-up/treatment appointment is like below.
The day after surgery – visit the clinic for the antibiotic shot
3rd day – antibiotic shot, wipe the sideburn incision area, remove the bandage, shampoo, and laser treatment for swelling
I was extremely nervous as I heard removing blood drainage is a lot painful.
But the twinge is for very short time and everything else was bearable.
5th day – splint, taping, stitches, and cotton removal ( I used my own ear cartilage so the stitches behind my ear got removed too)
8th day- sideburn stitch removal, swelling laser treatment, high frequency therapy.
12th day – the stitches inside my mouth was supposed to be removed on the 2nd week. But the doctor told me to come earlier than that, and stitches inside the mouth, dissolvable nose stitch, nose mask pack and h hyper frequency therapy.
2 weeks – follow up with the doctor and received popsicle sticks for the mouth exercise along with laser treatment and hyper frequency therapy
18th day – laser treatment and hyper frequency therapy
Even right after the surgery, the doctor came to me saying “Don’t worry, I DID THE SURGERY”, which was very trustworthy and reliable.
I am so satisfied with Braun that I am spreading the word
I appreciate the entire medical team again for everything you all did
