Also, it was always stressful to be seen as a big face when other people take pictures of me because of the long lower jaw. So I decided to have facial contouring surgery, and I went seven clinics or so to research. But every clinic has different surgical procedures, and some clinics recommended only cheekbone reduction surgery, and others recommended jaw reduction surgery. But I know my face the most! I thought that there will be no dramatic changes if I had surgery on only one or two areas. And then I went to Braun. Only Braun recommended 3 types of facial contouring surgeries and it was the first clinic where the doctor showed confidence. And I had faith in him. After visiting Braun and I called that afternoon to set a date for surgery. I decided to have 3 types of facial contouring surgeries and sunken cheek correction since my cheeks were sunken badly. And the biggest reason I chose Braun is because it is specialized in facial contouring & nose surgery. I've already had two nose surgeries, and I still had bulbous and weird looking nose with too high silicone in it, which was always stressful. I knew my friend had a nose surgery a few years ago at Braun, so I already knew the doctor’s skills. I thought this will be my last nose operation so I wanted to get it at Braun even if it was a little expensive! During the face to face consultation, but the doctor talked about the nose style that I wanted. And unlike other clinics, Brown does a CT scan for nose surgery. So it was nice to be able to see how much silicone I had in your previous surgery! In my previous surgery, a very thin 2mm silicone was inserted in my nose, but even if it was a 2mm silicone was used, it looked too high because I had already enough nose bridge height. That's why I want to lower it. When I told the doctor, he recommended alloderm instead of silicone, so I had alloderm on my nose bridge, and my nose tip with donated rib cartilage and my own ear cartilage. -The surgery day After 8 hours of fasting, I arrived at the hospital at 10. After making a payment, I changed into a patient gown and got an IV drip. And the three directors came in alternately to mark on the surgical areas, and all three informed me about the precautions. I met the eye surgery doctor on the day of surgery for the first time and was impressed by his details. The facial contouring doctor, of course, he is very precise and detailed as well. The surgery started eyes, facial contouring, and nose in order. When I entered the operation room, the anesthesiologist comes in and asks you for your weight. When I opened my eyes, I was already in a recovery room. As soon as I opened my eyes, I asked the nurse what time it was and it was already 10 P.M. After that, I had an EKG test for about two hours and then I was able to drink water. The other people who operated on the same day walked around well, but I had many surgeries that it took quite long, so I felt dizzy and nauseous, and I had a hard time. In the surgery reviews, people say take a lip balm and a cushion, but you won’t need them because you will not be able to use them. And if you feel sick and pain, don't be patient and just ask a nurse for pain killer injections right away. After that, I woke up and went to bed repeatedly all night long, and then I was discharged around 3 P.M. the next day. And those who are planning to have facial contouring and nose surgery together like me might think why I had these surgeries for 5 days after surgery. Because of facial contouring surgery, my mouth is swollen, but I had to breathe through my mouth because my nose is stuffed with cottons. I went crazy for 5 days before the cottons were removed ... (Real fact!!) But if you bear with that for a week, you can live the rest of your life happily. -After Surgery I visited Braun on the 3rd day after surgery to remove the blood drainage bag for sunken cheeks, and removed the cottons inside the nose, splint, and ear stitches on the 5th day. And Braun recommends wearing a compression bandage only for a week. When I read the reviews about other clinics, the patients say that they wore a compression bandage for up to 1 month. So I asked the nurse at Braun the reason, and she said it is different because the surgical method is different. I guess it's good to do it for long. And I received a hair wash service after a week. It's refreshing. Not only this, but also high-frequency, anti-swelling laser, and other post-op treatments are very good. I wanted to get more after basic treatment, so I paid for extra treatments and got 3 high frequency sessions! I think I've been able to go out without a mask since about 2 weeks ago. After 3 months of surgery, I went back to see the facial contouring doctor for follow up check through a post op CT scan. He said, "Have a happy life because the surgery was successful." And I was very emotional after hearing that. I'm also very satisfied with the results of the surgery, and I am totally enjoying looking myself in the mirror everyday. Brown is the only answer for those who want a slim and feminine face and a stylish slightly curved straight line nose. There are also a lot of people who are worried about where to go because of post op care. I strongly recommend Brown! Seriously!!! I want to thank the doctor and nurses. |
